Thank you Friends of Children for arranging with Two Men and a Truck to volunteer their time and truck to give me a nice couch and a bed for my very first apartment. Bye Bye foster care... Hello world !

After a day at the store.
Thanks so much for the funds for my family. I met them at Walmart yesterday and they were thrilled with their new things. The children live with their father and he was very practical in his choices for shoes, underwear, socks, coloring books and of course the lice treatment. He gave me a big hug when we left the store. And Brittany's eyes were like saucers when she saw the "sparkly party dress" and couldn't wait to get home to try it on. You all have made some little ones and their father very happy - nice when it is appreciated so much. Dad has an interview at this same Walmart on Monday - let's pray he gets the job!
Thanks again, Jan
Thank Goodness for the Friends of Children of Brevard. Your gift enabled the caregiver-grandparents to purchase a crib and changing table so they could care for their tiny grandson. They never expected to be doing this at this stage of their lives, but your gift helped tremendously to make it possible. On the first night in his new crib he slept all through the night. Thank you!

One of my boys recently joined cub scouts. However his family wasn't
in a financial position to purchase his uniform. Once again, "Friends"
to the rescue! Thanks to your generosity, he will now be dressed the
same as all the other boys in his troop. I can promise you he is one excited little boy!
Thank you again for all you do for the children of the GAL program!

Thank you Friends of Children and Elks. On behalf of an 11 year old boy, I would like to thank "Friends" and the Elks Club for the opportunity that allowed him to attend the Elks Camp this summer. He has talked about nothing else since coming home 3 weeks ago. When I say him last week, his first words to me were "Miss Patti, the camp was AWESOME!" He told me he is saving his money in hopes he can go back next year. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity that this child would never have gotten except for your generosity. It will definitely be a special memory for him. Guardian Ad Litem Patti
Camp is fun!
Thank you so very much for sponsoring S. C. to attend Shiloh Adventure Camp. She had never done anything like that before, and was a little apprehensive about leaving her family for a week. She had a wonderful time, and hasn't stopped talking about all the fun she had.

I would like to thank Friends on behalf of two of "my kids." I am a Guardian ad Litem representing two children that you have been generous enough to help. Your organization provided funds for one little boy to play basketball with Greater West Melbourne Athletic Association. To say he was thrilled is an understatement. His team won the championship and he has a trophy he is especially proud of. The other child, a 7 year old girl, will be able to attend the Spring Break Camp for which she is equally as thrilled. These are opportunities these children would never have had, if it were not for your generosity. Thank you again for all you do for the children of Brevard County!

Now she has a bed
Nicole's brother took her in and cared for her, but she had to sleep on a blanket on the floor. Her Guardian ad Litem asked and Friends of Children obtained a brand new bed and mattress for her.
From a Guardian ad Litem:
I had a teenage girl (client) who had to reside in University Behavioral Center. The girls were not allowed to use a regular or electric razor for their personal hygiene - only a battery-powered razor. The girl had no family, so I contacted Friends of Children of Brevard, and they provided the funds for a suitable razor. Very much appreciated by this teenage girl!... Thanks, Friends!
